Uniform designs and their applications
With the development of science and technology, experimenters may face the complexity such as multi-factors, nonlinear and unknown model between factors and responses. Then, it is very important to reasonably organize the experiments and experimental design is a suitable tool. Uniform design is an important type in experimental designs, and its mean idea is to scatter the design points uniformly on the experimental domain. The number of runs in uniform design can be more flexible than orthogonal arrays. In this talk, the measures of uniformity, some construction methods and the applications of uniform designs will be introduced.
