Statistics and Actuarial Science Case Study Competition 2017
Statistics and Actuarial Science has launched a case study competition for 2017:
We’ve partnered with moj.io on a case study competition to solve real data problems. The competition is based on more than 2.4 million rows of car sensor data. Case study competitions offer career-style learning opportunities that help students transition from study to career providing experiences to try methods outside of assignments, and a chance to talk about methods and results with industry judges. Competitors will compete for $2000 in prize money and interviews with moj.io. The case study judges include people from local businesses.
The competition runs until April 24th.
Posters from the 2015 case study competition are in the hallway of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Sciences.
Eligibility: Any current SFU student at any level of their study; BSc, MSc, PhD students are eligible from any department. Maximum 1 PhD student per group.
